I intended to meet with the Councilman today as part of a group representing
business improvement districts and opposed to any legalization of street
vending. Unfortunately, a critical business district situation is going to prevent
me from being present.

The Councilman is well aware of the Westchester Town Center's long standing
opposition to any street vending within our area. Attached is a recent letter to
that effect.

In addition, a letter from C.W. Business Center, a Westchester small business,
expressing a similar viewpoint is also attached.

Other letters opposing street vending are in the process of being prepared by the
Westchester Playa Neighborhood Council, the LAX Coastal Chamber of
Commerce, and several other local groups.

My apologies for missing today's important meeting.
